Sentinels by Edwin Thompson
Exploring the cultural and ecological significance of trees, artist Edwina Thompson’s first exhibition in Colombo centers around the deep-rooted relationship between nature, places and people. This artistic and creative showcase focuses on tree species in Sri Lanka- many of them migrants as ‘enduring sentinels- watchful guardians and quiet witnesses to the passage of time’ through recognizing the cultural significance they hold within the island.

ARCHIFEST ’25
Celebrating 25 years of academic excellence at SLITT school of architecture, ARCHIFEST ’25 is a special architecture and design exhibition showcasing the students’ creativity and innovation throughout the years.

Timeless Expressions
“Timeless expressions” is an art exhibition by local artist and passionate art collector Dhammika Gunasekera- opening to the public on Saturday 22 March 2025 at 10am in Lionel Wendt. The exhibition will be on view till 25th March 2025.

Total Landscaping with Sandev Handy
The Curator’s Tour of ‘Total Landscaping’- an exhibition tour organized by the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Sri Lanka, is offered as a part of the museum’s public programs of ‘Total Landscaping Rotation 3’. A walk-through tour will be conducted on March 29th at 11am by Sandev Handy, Senior Curator at MMCA. Additionally, the exhibition will be on display free of charge until May 29th.

International Conference on Colonial Architecture and Culture 2025
The upcoming physical and digital event “International Conference on Colonial Architecture and Culture” will be held in Colombo on the 15th and 16th April 2025. Aiming to inspire researchers, scholars and educators to the progression of colonial architectural disciplines; the event will comprise of intellectually stimulating presentations, workshops, networking sessions, debates and exhibitions. General registration deadline is 31st March 2025.

Architect 2025
Sri Lanka’s largest Architects’ Work and Trade Exhibition “Architect 2025 – Polymathic Excellence: Crafting Narratives and Designing Tomorrows” will be held at BMICH, Colombo from 21st to 23rd February. The event will not only incorporate the latest innovations, cutting edge designs and intriguing solutions in the field of architecture, but also would allow the visitors to connect with industry leading experts, explore future architectural possibilities and engage with newly emerging sustainable and smart design trends.
