Presented by the Architecture Student Society,” Interstice” is a collection of 2025 final year Design thesis from the Department of Architecture of University of Moratuwa.

“Mara” by Kingsley Gunatillake
The upcoming exhibition of Kingsley Gunatillake is to be held at Paradise Road Saskia Fernando Gallery (PRSFG). The theme of the exhibition is based on a concept named ‘Mara’ which symbolizes internal struggles faced by individuals in facing fear, desire and doubt. The works of art illuminate the opposite of enlightenment; clearly expressed through his chosen medium. The artist invites everyone to embrace the inner journey along with himself as he takes the person through a journey of understanding and discovery.

Design in the Moment
“Design in the moment: Furniture by the Geoffrey Bawa Practice” is an exhibition that showcases the modern furniture designs done by Bawa, in response to the social, economical and cultural context of Sri Lanka. The exhibition is a collaborative exploration with an India-based furniture brand: Phantom Hands, Curated by Geofrey Bawa Trust’s chairperson Archit. Channa Daswatta and Aparna Rao, co-founder of ‘Phantom Hands’.

Child Art Exhibition & Competition
Relationship and Collaboration Child Art Project and Exhibition is to be held; carrying the theme “My Beloved Srilanka” an initiative to explore the creative pursuits of the school children in Kandy. The collaboration between two cities Kumamoto and Kandy along with the artists are providing a great opportunity for the school kids to showcase their talents and to get themselves acquainted. The exhibition is aimed for children between 4 -12 years and any medium is encouraged to be used. The deadline of submissions is the 5th of October 2024.
